Why It’s Important to Wear Makeup on Your Wedding Day

Your wedding day, the day you have been waiting for, the day you are likely to be most photographed. You probably paid a good amount of money for the professional photographer and videographer. Plus your cousins and friends who are ready to click selfies with you. All your images will end up all over Facebook and instagram and will be liked by friends, acquaintances, old flames, high school, college classmates, total strangers etc. Now you know why it is important to wear makeup on your Wedding day!
Wedding Makeup Planning for novice
Book a trial with a professional makeup artist three to six months in advance of your wedding. Have makeup inspiration photos at the ready, whether they’re from Pinterest or pages from your favourite magazine. If you’re collaborating with a new makeup artist, their version of natural, defined or dramatic may be way different than yours. It’s all relative.
When in doubt, refer a photo. You may have good makeup photos from any function, the one in which you look beautiful. Show the picture as a reference to your makeup artist, so he can plan the best makeup that suits you. Don't compromise yourself. You may have to book multiple trials until you find the right person.
You need to decide on air foundation or regular. Some say air foundation is the best as it can give a flawless look. But it is all personal. Whatever you choose the one that brings out the best in you. So try both before judging.
Photograph your makeup trial makeup within multiple lighting scenarios. You know what I mean. There are probably some areas of your house where your makeup looks flawless, while other mirrors show off all your pores. Same goes for wedding day.
Show your fiancé the look you are planning on wedding day. If he likes it great if not plan on ways to convince him. Keep a makeup emergency kit. You cannot foresee what is in plan for you. So keep a list of cosmetics that you may need in case of emergencies. Ask your makeup artist about the lipstick shade he used and buy that shade and keep it with you.
The Special Day
You may have to go to the MUA very early in the morning. So eat properly. A hungry stomach can kill your charming looks. You may not get a chance to eat afterwards with all the freshly put make up and wedding dress.
Give your beauty emergency kit to someone who will be in close proximity to you that day/night. She should have no problem in telling you that you have lipstick on your teeth.
